The Rodel Foundation of Arizona is pleased to announce that Mike Henderson is joining our team as Director of Initiatives. Most recently, Mike was the Director of Federal Programs & Instructional Technology for the Chandler Unified School District. Prior to that, he served as principal at Galveston Elementary School in the Chandler Unified District where he was selected as a 2013 Rodel Exemplary Principal and recognized as the Cesar E. Chavez Administrator of the Year.
“Mike brings extensive experience working with Arizona educators, business and community leaders, and shares our passion for ensuring that all Arizona students have access to a great school with great teachers,” said Rodel President & CEO Jackie Norton. “We are thrilled to welcome Mike to our team and know that he will be a great asset for all of our initiatives.”

Mike holds a B.A. in Education from Arizona State University, an M.A. in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University, and has a varied career as a public school educator, elementary school principal and district-level administrator. He also spent three years in Human Resources with the Intel Corporation, where he gained valuable insights and experience in the business world.
