Arizona School Boards Association
Janice Palmer is the Director of Governmental Relations & Public Affairs for the Arizona School Boards Association (ASBA) and has been with the Association for over 14 years. Janice has previously served as Communications Director for the Proposition 200: Healthy Children Healthy Families campaign and was an Arizona Senate Policy Advisor, working in the areas of tax and fiscal policy, commerce and economic development, bilingual education, civil rights issues, and redistricting.
Janice graduated Arizona State University magna cum laude with degrees in English and Political Science. Janice serves on numerous boards and committees, including: the Expect More Arizona Public Policy Committee, Rodel Charitable Foundation’s Advisory Committee, Arizona’s Making Opportunities Affordable (MOA) Strategic Engagement and Communications Committee, ABEC’s Public Policy Committee; and WestED’s Region IX Equity Assistance Center Advisory Committee, serving Arizona, California, and Nevada.
Janice was nominated and selected by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Arizona Chapter to the 2005 Class of AZ’s FINEST, an honor bestowed on 20 men and women, who exemplify leadership qualities, are active in volunteer roles, and have excelled in the business community.
