Lead With Five

With support from Greater Phoenix Leadership, Rodel convened a group of 26 business, community and education leaders to address two tough questions: what would it take to double the achievement level of Arizona students and what strategies could be deployed to drive such significant improvement? The resulting report recognized that in order to prosper, Arizona must be able to provide its employers with top talent and that our education pipeline was not currently producing a competitive product. So, the focus of Lead With Five was to identify the most effective strategies to improve student performance and make them our funding priorities. It recognized that funding is essential but allocating funds wisely is equally important. The recommendations of the report were based on compelling evidence gathered from successful models all over the country. They have withstood the test of time and today they remain the recognized pillars for student success.
