About Our Team
As one of the founders of the Rodel Foundations, Don serves as the chairman of the board of directors of Rodel Arizona as well as a board member for Rodel Delaware. He is also Founding Director and former Chairman of Science Foundation Arizona, founding Chairman of College Success Arizona, a founding board member of Tucson Values Teachers, Emeritus Board Member of Stand for Children and currently serves on the board of BASIS Charter Schools. He is a member of Greater Phoenix Leadership, Southern Arizona Leadership Council, and the O’Connor Institute Advisory Group. Don is also a Lifetime Member of the Arizona State University President’s Club and as well as a Trustee of ASU.
Don has been recognized as a “Distinguished Associate” by the Morrison Institute for Public Policy. The O’Connor House presented him with their Community Leadership Award and he was recognized by Teach for America as a “Homeroom Hero.” Children’s Action Alliance honored him with the Horace Steel Child Advocacy award; he also received a child advocacy award from the New Directions Institute.
The University of Arizona College of Engineering recognized Don for “Distinguished Service” while Northern Arizona University awarded him an honorary doctorate in Humane Letters and the Arizona Board of Regents presented him with an award for “Outstanding Achievement in Higher Education.”
As President and CEO of the Rodel Foundation of Arizona, Jackie is responsible for promoting the vision and developing the strategies for improving Arizona’s public education system. Prior to joining Rodel in 2011, she served as Vice President of the Arizona State University Foundation. A lawyer by profession, Jackie was a partner in the Phoenix law firm, Gallagher & Kennedy. She also served as the Director of the Arizona Department of Commerce and as Deputy Chief of Staff to Arizona Governor Fife Symington. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Stanford University and her law degree from Arizona State University.
Jackie has served as a member of the board of directors of numerous organizations including Expect More Arizona, the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry, ASU Law Society, University of Arizona College of Business and Public Administration and the Arizona Council on Economic Education.
She has been honored to receive the Paul Fannin award for “Outstanding Service;” the “Distinguished Achievement Award” from ASU College of Extended Education and the “Leadership Award” from the Arizona Girl Scouts.
Nancy’s entire professional career has been in education. She began as the office manager at an elementary school, then became the assistant to the Superintendent of a Phoenix school district. She joined Rodel in 2002 as executive assistant to the President/CEO. She currently serves in that role for Rodel’s founder and board chairman. Nancy is a graduate of Northern Arizona University.
Corliss is the Chief Financial Officer of the Rodel Foundations. She manages financial reporting along with compliance requirements and regulations for the Rodel Foundation of Arizona, the Rodel Foundation of Delaware and the Rodel Private Foundation. She also acts as liaison between Rodel Foundations and the various community foundations with whom they interact. Corliss began her career with Rodel as International Finance Director for Rodel, Inc. She earned an accounting degree from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota. She is a member of AICPA and Arizona Society of CPA’s.
Nicole is an Arizona native and attended Arizona State University. She has been involved in education primarily as a volunteer in the classroom, on various committees, as well as, serving a two-year term as PTO Board President at Madison Simis Elementary when her children attended the school. She continues to serve the Madison district as a coach for girls’ basketball and volleyball. At Rodel, Nicole will be assisting the Founder, Don Budinger, as well as Rodel’s, Chief Financial Officer, Corliss Diazcadena.
