The Rodel Foundation of Arizona is pleased to announce the hiring of Rick Stephen as Program Administrator and Kim Rimbey as Math Specialist.
Stephen and Rimbey will be working to expand the Math Achievement Club by Rodel (MAC-Ro) by nearly 40 percent to reach 18,000 students across the state.
Stephen brings to Rodel 18 years of experience as an elementary school principal in Phoenix. In 2000 Stephen received a National Educator Award from the Milken Family Foundation. He holds a B.A. in elementary education and a M.Ed. in elementary administration from ASU.
Rimbey has taught in Arizona for 18 years including 10 years as a math specialist in the Paradise Valley School District. A National Board Certified Teacher in Early Adolescent Mathematics, Rimbey received the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics Teaching in 2001. She holds a B.S. in elementary education from Grand Canyon University, a M.Ed. in elementary education from ASU and a M.Ed. in educational leadership from NAU.
The Rodel Charitable Foundation of Arizona’s vision is for Arizona to have one of the best pre-kindergarten through 12 educational systems in the country by 2020. MAC-Ro is an initiative with a proven track record of increasing student math achievement at high poverty schools across Arizona.
